First Annual High-altitude Bull Sale
The NMPMA is hosting the first annual high-altitude bull sale in northern New Mexico.
All bulls at the sale will be:
Yearlings and 2 year-olds
Fully vaccinated
Trich and Fertility tested
PAP (pulmonary arterial pressure) tested at high altitude
On-site preview begins at 9:00am. Auction begins at 1:00pm.

Accommodations can be reserved at the Abiquiu Inn. Call 505-685-4378 and mention the “Bull Sale” rate ($119/night+tax).
The Abiquiu Inn will also be hosting a Rancher’s Special Dinner Saturday evening 4pm to close.
PAP Testing Event
Dr. Andrea Gutierrez and the SWVS team will be performing PAP (pulmonary arterial pressure) testing on bulls at the NMPMA facility. If you are interested in participating please contact SWVS at southwestvetnm@gmail.com or 575-640-0342.
Fourth Annual Northern NM Bull Management Educational Series
The fourth annual Northern NM Bull Management Educational Series will be held on the weekend of February 23-24,2024.
There will be an educational seminar at the Rio Arriba County Rural Events center on Friday evening from 5-7pm. Food and refreshments will be provided. Seminar attendees will receive a voucher for free dewormer the day of testing.
Trich and fertility testing will be on Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Pricing is as follows:
Trich Testing Only: $65
Fertility Testing Only: $65
Trich and Fertility Testing: $110
